(BEDFORD) - On Thursday, GM Bedford Casting will host its first Get Wise (Women In Science and Engineering) program.
The purpose is to educate sixth-grade girls about career opportunities related to engineering and encourage them to pursue a college education. The free program includes a plant tour and competitive activities.
True Tale Of Murder
On Friday, the Lawrence County Museum of History will present "Murder Among Friends." The event will feature a historic walk, talk and light supper focused on the 1866 murder of James Madison Evans by Dr. Benjamin Newland. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 1101 15th St. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the museum, 929 15th St.
Haunted Park
The Disabled Veterans Wish Foundation/IN along with ABATE continues its "Haunted Murray" park, designed for all ages, at 7 p.m. through Oct. 28. The cost is $5 and a canned food item to benefit the local food pantry.
