(MITCHELL) - A Bedford woman was injured after she lost control of her vehicle on Ind. 37 near Sir Williams Drive Tuesday at 5:59 p.m.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 32-year-old Angela Johnson was traveling north on Ind. 37 and was attempting to change lanes to go around a slower vehicle when she told police she thought another vehicle was pulling into her lane as she was switching lanes.
A witness to the accident told police Johnson's 1996 Ford Explorer began to "fishtail" causing Johnson to lose control of the vehicle.
Police say the Explorer went off the west side of Ind. 37 and into the median where it flipped on the driver's side.
An IU Health ambulance responded, but Johnson, who complained of back pain, refused medical treatment and told officers if needed she would have a family member take her to the hospital.
