(BLOOMINGTON) - 26-year-old Brooke Shelton, of Bloomington, was arguing with two men when she pulled a knife and began swinging it.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Scott Myers, Shelton was arguing with two men in a home in the 800 block of Park Square Drive when she pulled out a knife and began to swing, striking a 38-year-old male, in the shoulder.
Shelton was booked into the Monroe County Jail, her bond on hold, and faces a preliminary charge of attempted murder.
According to Sgt. Myers, a witness who was in the house at the time of the argument, says Shelton entered the home in a frenzy, screaming and throwing things around the house.
Myers says Shelton accused the two men of "ratting her out,"
Myers says after the one man was stabbed, both men wrestled Shelton to the floor in an attempt to subdue her until police arrived.
Myers says police were called sometime before 10:40 p.m. Saturday and arrived on the scene about three minutes after the call was made, Myers said.
