(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation invites the public to its annual dinner Oct. 11 at the 4-H Expo Building.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, 1116 16th St., or the foundation office at 1324 K Street, Suite 150.
Tickets must be purchased by Monday.
Tickets will not be available at the door.
In honor of its 20th birthday, the foundation will award a total of $20,000 to 15 local nonprofits, with a top award of $5,000.
The non-profits are: Becky's Place, Little Theatre of Bedford, Lawrence County Museum, Lawrence County Cancer Patients Services, Hoosier Uplands, Limestone Girls Club, Heltonville Heritage, LIFE food pantry, Daughters of the American Revolution, Thornton Memorial Boys Club, Habitat for Humanity, Bedford Public Library, White River Humane Society, Judah Heritage, and Springville Heritage.
People at the dinner can visit the nonprofit booths to learn what they are seeking funding for, and vote for a favorite project.
The keynote speaker is Steve Ferguson, chairman of the board at Cook Group Inc. The Rev. Stephen Braden, a founding foundation board member, is scheduled to attend.
