(BLOOMINGTON) - A man reportedly walked into a Bloomington gas station with his hands buried in his sleeves, insinuating he had a gun, and demanded money from the cashier sometime before 3:50 a.m. Sunday.
Bloomington Police Detective Sgt. John Kovach says the 29-year-old cashier called the suspect's bluff and refused to empty the register's contents.
The man attempted to threaten the cashier and when that didn't work he fled the store. The white man was wearing a turquoise mask and was between 250 to 300 pounds.
The cashier called police as soon as the man fled the store. The case remains under investigating by Bloomington police.
