(LINTON) - A 29-year-old Linton man faces two counts of felony child molesting in a case filed Tuesday that involves a 13-year-old victim.
Nick Schneider, of the Greene County Daily World reported, Seth Devon Robinson is preliminarily charged with child molesting - a class A felony; and child molesting - a class C felony, following an alleged incident that occurred Aug. 4.
Robinson is being held on $40,000 bond.
Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Rick Marques, who is heading up the investigation, arrested Robinson on Oct. 18. Assisting in the case is the Greene County Office Department of Child Services (DCS).
According to the probable cause affidavit, the 13-year-old female victim was spending the night with a friend at a Linton apartment complex when the alleged molestation took place.
Robinson, who was described to have been "drinking" by the victim, is alleged to have had intimate sexual contact with the young girl during the early morning hours of Aug. 4. The two allegedly were lying together in a recliner when the incident took place, according to the probable cause affidavit.
During a recorded telephone interview from the Linton Police Station, Marques stated that Robinson admitted to the allegation and was "repeatedly apologetic" to the victim's mother for what had happened.
When requested to come and talk with Marques in person, Robinson came the LPD station, but declined to answer any questions.
He was then arrested and taken to the county jail in Bloomfield.
