(SEYMOUR) - Indiana State Police trooper David Owsley was called to a home in the 1100 block of Mockingbird lane in Seymour about a domestic fight Sunday at 11:40 p.m.
When he arrived the man involved in the fight had left the home. Jackson County deputies found 33-year-old Zachary Lyle, of Seymour walking on U.S. 31 south of Seymour.
Owsley says no crime as committed so Lyle was released.
But at 1:15 a.m. Monday, police were called back to the home after 32-year-old Madeline Andrew says Lyle battered her. Again Lyle fled the home.
Owsley says troopers stayed in the area and at 2:20 a.m. found Lyle looking into a window at the home and arrested him.
He was taken to Jackson County Jail where he is facing charges of domestic battery in the presence of a child, two counts of Intimidation, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.
Tpr. Owsley was assisted by Tpr. Travis Linville and Jackson Sheriff's Department.
