(BLOOMINGTON) - The 22nd Annual Indiana University Dance Marathon to benefit Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health raised more than $2 million.
More than 3,000 students participated in this weekend's marathon, which is a 36 hour event.
The event raised a record $2,125,322.20.
Since the dance marathon was created in 1991 it has raised $11.8 million and has become the nation's largest Children's Miracle Network Hospitals-affiliated dance marathon
It is also the second largest student run philanthropy event.
