(FAIRFAX) - Monroe Lake will hold a telescope star-gazing event on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Fairfax State Recreation Area.
Members of the IU Astronomy Club will be on site from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to share views of the night sky with visitors.
Telescopes will be set up at the Check Station Field, which is the first drive on the right (across from the water tower) after passing the entrance gatehouse. Fairfax SRA is located at 9301 S. Fairfax Road in Bloomington. Entrance to Fairfax SRA is free during the winter season.
If the sky is too cloudy for viewing, the program will be canceled. For program status, call the Paynetown Activity Center on Nov. 13 before 5 p.m. at (812) 837-9967.
Questions about this program can be directed to the Paynetown Activity Center or to Jill Vance at jvance@dnr.IN.gov.
