(BLOOMINGTON) - Two men were arrested Monday morning in connection to a series of thefts from vehicles in the Bloomington and Ellettsville.
22-year-old Xavier Butler and 20-year-old Steven Thomas, who were in a full-size Chevy van in front of McDonald's near North Walnut Street and the bypass, were stopped by police after officers received a tip that two men from Ellettsville were in the area.
When police searched the van they found a bulk of stolen items.
Butler and Thomas admitted to authorities their connection in the multitude of thefts from vehicles in the Ellettsville and Bloomington areas.
Both were arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail.
