(BROWNSTOWN) - Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made arrests at Funfest at the Brownstown Speedway this weekend.
Reserve Deputy Scott Davis arrested 20-year-old Carl Jay Davis, of Ellettsville and 18-year-old Adam L. Meyer, of Corydon in separate incidents Friday.
Davis was arrested at 5:48 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction after he was observed spinning his tires along State Road 250 in front of the fairgrounds before driving into Funfest.
He was released from Jackson County Jail on $705 bond later that evening.
Meyer was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of paraphernalia, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance after officers smelled burning marijuana coming from a trailer that Meyer was using at his campsite.
Officers searched the site, finding more marijuana, meth, drug paraphernalia and drug processing equipment. A handgun was also found in a truck on the site.
