(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police officers were called to the parking lot of Kmart Monday night after someone reported three males were saran wrapping a vehicle.
"It ended up being a harmless prank," said Bedford Chief Dennis Parsley. "And everyone got a big laugh out of it."
Parsley says when officers arrived just after 9 p.m. they found three males walking near the parking lot with a huge roll of plastic wrap.
"When the officers asked what they were doing the men admitted they used the plastic wrap to wrap two fellow employee's vehicles," Parsley says. "Those employees were asked by officers to come inspect their vehicles and everyone just had a good laugh at the harmless prank. The officers did advise the men that next time they do something like that it might be better to do it where the public doesn't call police."
