(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she allegedly hit a pregnant woman several times Thursday night.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to Collins Trailer Court after a report of a domestic fight.
Police arrested 24-year-old Chelsea New, of Bedford, on charges of battery on a pregnant woman.
"It was two females fighting over a male," Parsley says. "The victim, who is pregnant, reported she was in a car when Miss New hit her in the face."
At that point, the victim got out of the car and said she was going to call police.
"That is when Miss New got out of the car, chased the victim, hit her again and pulled her hair," Parsley says.
