(BEDFORD) - 15-year-old Bailey Harris has run away from home and her parents are desperately trying to find her.
"This has been hell on our family," says her father Mark Harris. "It is hard to work or think because we don't know where she is. Every night I drive around trying to find her. We are worried that something terrible will happen to her. She is running with some dangerous people and I believe if we don't find her soon this could end in a dangerous situation."
The family is offering a $500 reward to anyone who can tell them where Bailey is.
"They can text my phone or call the Bedford or Mitchell police," Mark says. "They don't have to tell us who they are. We just want to find Bailey."
Harris says they last saw their daughter on Sunday in the Mitchell area.
"According to some of her text messages sent on her phone she had planned this several days before she left," Harris says. "Both the Bedford and Mitchell Police Departments are trying to find her."
Harris says he is not sure why his daughter ran away.
"She had no reason to want to leave," he says. "She wasn't mistreated; she doesn't like authority and is just being rebellious."
Mitchell and Bedford officers checked several locations Wednesday but were unable to locate Bailey.
Bailey is 5 feet tall and around 87 pounds. She has long dark hair.
Anyone who sees Bailey is asked to call Mark at (812) 345-9620, the Bedford Police Department at 275-3311 or the Mitchell Police Department at 849-2151.
