Disabled Woman Injured In Altercation

(MITCHELL) - Mitchell Police are investigating the battery of a disabled woman in a home in the 1100 block of South 9th Street.

According to police, they were notified at 8:49 p.m. Saturday that the woman had been hit by a 19-year-old woman.

According to police the disabled woman suffered a large bump on her head during the altercation.

She was treated at the scene by an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew.

No arrests have been made, but police say they are taking statements and the case is still under investigation.
