(BEDFORD) - The Starstrong Donut-a-thon 5K For a Cure will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday at Bedford North Lawrence.
The run/walk is a fundraiser for Starstrong, a student organization that raises money and awareness for cancer organizations.
Participants can choose from a few categories:
Challenger: Run half the race, eat a dozen donuts, then finish race, one-hour time limit.
Challenger team: Two-person team. One person runs half the race, teammate eats the donuts, and runner finishes the race.
Slacker: Run or walk, get a box of donuts halfway through and finish the race carrying the box with you. No time limit.
Cheerleader: Show up, support the cause, get donuts and T-shirt.
Entry forms are available at BNL, Hibbetts and by clicking on this link at www.nlcs.k12.in.us/bnlhs. Individuals, $20, teams, $30. Race day registration accepted, but no guarantee of donuts. For more information, call Leisa Deckard at BNL, 279-9756.
