(MITCHELL) - A familiar face will take over a fourth-grade classroom at Burris Elementary School.
Mike Lewis of the Times-Mail reports that Heather Moore was named to that position Monday night by the Mitchell school board. Assistant Superintendent Phillip Storm told board members Moore has been a substitute teacher and aide in the school system.
Also Monday, the board accepted the resignation of Heidi Klein Kromhof, the person Moore will replace. Kromhof is moving out of the country and submitted her resignation, which will take effect Nov. 21.
In other personnel matters, board members accepted the resignations of cafeteria workers Stacy Moore and Frankie Young, effective Nov. 12 and 21, respectively.
Board members also named Buddy Hall as the freshman boys basketball coach at Mitchell High School.
And they approved two maternity leaves, one for Crystal Goins, the basic skills teacher at Mitchell Junior High School, effective from about spring break to the end of the school year, and one for Kristi Ebelhar, first-grade teacher at Hatfield Elementary School, from approximately Feb. 22 to the end of the school year.
