(BROWNSTOWN) - It took longer for Jackson County Republican precinct officials to gather than it took them to select a new prosecutor.
Chief Deputy Prosecutor Amy Marie Travis was elected on the first ballot when Republicans convened for a caucus Monday night in Brownstown.
Travis was the only attorney to submit a letter of interest for the position with Republican Party chairwoman Melissa Zabel Acton.
