(LOOGOOTEE) - German American Bank, in Loogootee, is sponsoring a pet food drive throughout the month.
A collection bin is set up in the lobby for dog and cat food donations that will go to the Martin County Humane Society.
The promotion is part of the bank's Fun Friday. Each month, one of the bank tellers chooses a theme. Last month was baseball.
The bank lobby is decorated according to the theme and the "Fun Friday" offers prize drawings and refreshments.
The event will be held November 30th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Next month no specific theme has been designated but the bank will offer sign-ups for giveaway of Visa gift cards.
In January the theme will be football. Anyone who would like to donate can drop off items at the bank Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until November 30.
The Martin County Humane Society currently has close to a dozen dogs available for adoption. For more information about these dogs, call the society's president, Josh Hughett, at 259-2429 or visit the humane society.
