(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man reported he was walking home from his grandmother’s home on Grissom Avenue Sunday morning when he was offered a ride.
The man, who is in his mid-20s and was walking in the area of Main Street when a group of three males stopped in a black Chevrolet truck and asked him if he wanted a ride.
The man accepted, but instead of taking him home they took him to Meridian Road and Doc. Hamilton Boulevard.
But the men didn't stop the truck to let him out. Instead, the man says, they pulled his hoodie he was wearing over his head and when they did that they poked him hard in the eye.
They then pushed him out of the moving truck and the back wheel ran over his ankle. The case is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call police.
