Mother Makes 911 Call After Daughter Fails To Get Off Bus

(BEDFORD) - One Bedford mother got a scare Tuesday afternoon when her 8-year-old daughter didn’t get off the bus.

According to Bedford Police, the mother made a 911 call reporting the incident at 3:52 p.m.

The mother, who lives on Redman Drive, told police her daughter didn't get off the school bus.

Police contacted the school's transportation department and the girl's bus was searched. They didn't find the student.

Then while police were gathering information the woman told police the child was walking up the road.

What happened? It seems that the student had got off at a friend's bus stop and walked home from there.
