(MITCHELL) - A Paoli man was injured after he crashed his Jeep Scrambler on Sportsman Club Road Thursday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Landon Ray was traveling south on Sportsman Club Road just east of Quail Run Road when he says the play in the steering wheel caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
The vehicle went off the south side of the road and he tried to correct the steer, but was unable to. The vehicle continued south about 79 feet, hitting a fence and then stopped after crashing into a tree.
When police arrived at 8:16 p.m. they found Ray laying next to his vehicle and complaining of pain in his right leg. He also suffered cuts and bruises to his upper chest and chin.
An IU Health Hospital ambulance crew responded and said Ray had a possible broken femur.
