(NEEDMORE) - Batman stopped by Needmore Elementary School Tuesday to visit Cole Winnefeld for his ninth birthday.
Winnefeld, a third-grader in Jenny Bartlett's class, battled neuroblastoma.
Cole's parents, Mike and Carol Winnefeld, struck up a conversation with Jeremy Basso, the president of a waste management company, who was impressed with the Winnefeld family, and wanted to do something for the youngster's birthday.
Basso arranged for a Fort Wayne-based company, The T.A.G. Art Co., to provide the visit by Batman to the school.
