(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after her vehicle flipped on South I Street Monday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 77-year-old Mary Evans was traveling south on South I Street, near Garden Way, when her 2005 General Motor Envoy began to fishtail on the wet roads.
The vehicle went off the east side of the road, hit an embankment where there was a big rock embedded in the ground.
The Envoy then flipped and slid on the driver's side before stopping. A witness, Phil Bartlett, saw the crash and called 911.
Evans had to be freed from the wreckage by Bedford Firefighters. She was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital and treated for pain to her arm and shoulder.
