(BEDFORD) - 18-year-old Chelsea York, of Bedford, turned herself in Thursday afternoon after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
She is being charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
According to a probable cause affidavit police were called to a home in the 1000 block of 25th street in August after a neighbor complained of a strong chemical odor.
Officers recognized the odor that is emitted when someone makes or "cooks" meth. There officers found items to make the drug.
York told police there was a meth lab in the basement and that another man, with assistance from 26-year-old Michael Cooper were making the meth.
She also told officers there was marijuana and pills in the home.
Cooper was arrested Tuesday night.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says the investigation is ongoing.
