(BEDFORD) - Bedford Firefighters were quick to contain a fire in the 2300 block of Washington Avenue Saturday morning.
According to Battalion Chief Steve Haverly, no one was home when the fire started. Haverly says firefighters found several tools inside the home and says the home was vacant, but being remodeled. Firefighters do not know who owns the home.
Haverly says firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the northside of the home and attic area of the two-story home. BFD Fire Inspector David Wright is investigating what caused the blaze.
