(MITCHELL) - A Heltonville man was arrested after he was stopped for a traffic violation early Sunday morning.
According to Mitchell Police Officer Cain Gilstrap, he stopped the vehicle on 11th Street after the driver failed to stop for the stop sign.
Gilstrap says, 19-year-old Zachery Harden was driving the vehicle and pulled into the lot behind Mitchell Manor.
After stopping the green Volkswagen, Gilstrap determined it was stolen from Lawrence County.
Harden was arrested and charged with auto theft and possession of stolen property. His passenger, a male juvenile, was released to his grandparents.
