(MITCHELL) - The Dictionary Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to literacy and its primary goal is to put a dictionary in the hands of every third-grader in the United States.
A very daunting task considering there is a new group of third graders every year.
On Sept. 12, Joseph S. and Sherri Elliott along with Bob and Drema Nail donated 139 dictionaries to Burris Elementary School in Mitchell in support of this project. Accepting the dictionaries was Burris Elementary Principal Steve Dorsett.
