(DUBOIS COUNTY) - The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the family of a Labrador or Lab mix that was hit on Tuesday.
Deputies were called to the 4-H Fairgrounds for an injured dog at 11:30 a.m. The large yellow Labrador or Labrador mix ran onto State Road 162 and was struck by a passing vehicle.
Unfortunately the dog was severely injured and had to be put down. Deputies were unable to determine who the dog belonged to.
It was not wearing a ID Tag but did have a collar used for invisible fencing.
The vehicle that struck it did not sustain any damages and the sheriff's department would like to notify the owner of the dog. The owners or anyone with information are directed to contact the sheriff's department and ask for Sheriff Donny Lampert.
