(SHOALS) - Wednesday night Indiana State Trooper Jarrod Lents conducted a traffic stop at U.S. 50 and Main Street in Shoals on a white 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck because the driver, Brandon Stone, failed to signal a turn from Main Street onto U.S. 50.
During the course of the stop, Trooper Lents detected the odor of illegal drugs inside the truck.
A subsequent search yielded marijuana in excess of 30 grams and drug paraphernalia.
28-year-old Stone, of Shoals was arrested and taken to the Martin County Jail.
Martin County Deputy Josh Greene and Shoals Town Marshal Todd Eckert assisted during the investigation.
