(PAOLI) - Paoli Peaks is welcoming the snowstorm that’s begun blanketing their ski runs with fresh blanket of snow.
Lauren Grenier of Paoli Peaks, located about 40 miles south of Bloomington, says seven of the resort's 15 ski runs opened Wednesday morning to skiers, snow boarders and snow-tubing enthusiasts.
Grenier says some of those runs already had a foot of manmade snow.
Paoli Peaks, the ski, snowboarding and tubing facility in Orange County, opened Sunday, a week later than originally planned because of warmer than usual temperatures in early December.
Chip Perfect of Perfect North Slopes says the storm dumped more than a half-foot of snow on the Lawrenceburg-area resort. He says 15 of its 23 ski runs are open.
Perfect says the storm might keep some people away Wednesday but the fresh snow will get many others thinking about a skiing trip this weekend.
