(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man was injured after he crashed his semi on State Road 164 in Celestine, Tuesday morning.
According to a Dubois County Sheriff's Department report, when officers arrived they found the semi on its side and the load of turkeys in the field. 49-year-old Paul Ledgerwood, was walking around the truck and appeared to be disoriented
Ledgerwood was treated at the scene and then taken to a Jasper hospital and then transferred to a hospital in Evansville.
According to police, Ledgerwood took the curve too fast and the semi flipped on its side and skidded about 150 feet from for stopping on its side down an embankment.
The road was shut down for about four hours as crews worked to pick up turkeys and retrieve the semi. Damage was estimated at up to $100,000.
