(BLOOMINGTON) - The Winter Wonders open house at Monroe Lake on Sunday, Dec. 30, will celebrate the season with themed crafts and activities and hot chocolate and cookies.
The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the activity center at Paynetown State Recreation Area.
Monroe Lake naturalist Jill Vance said she expects to have four to six different crafts and activities. She will also have information about winter programs and answer questions about the lake.
Vance encouraged parents to bring their children for the activities.
"You can stop by for 15 minutes to grab a cookie and make a quick craft, or linger and enjoy all of the activities," Vance said.
Admission to Paynetown SRA is free during the winter.
Paynetown SRA is at 4850 South State Road 446, Bloomington, 47401.
