(BLOOMFIELD) - A warrant has been issued for a Martinsville woman, who is accused of threatening to kill her mother with a knife.
Anna Rochelle, of the Greene County Daily World reports, Lisa N. Thompson, failed to show up for an interview at the Greene County Sheriff's Department in October and is believed to have left town to go to Martinsville on the same day the interview was scheduled.
Thompson is wanted on preliminary charges of intimidation - drew or used a deadly weapon as a threat was made, a class C felony, and criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor.
Thompson allegedly tricked her mother into opening a door then pointed a knife at her and threatened to kill her.
The incident was reported during a 911 call made Oct. 1.
Greene County Deputy Dustin Cain went to the mother's home.
According to a probable cause affidavit prepared by Cain, Thompson offered to help clean the living room but prescription medication went missing from a prescription bottle in a purse that was in the room where Thompson was cleaning. When Thompson was confronted about the missing pills, an argument began.
Thompson reportedly left but came back and there was another argument.
Thompson left again but reportedly came back a third time and was in the yard hollering and threatened to kill her mother's dog and burn her house down.
Then Thompson allegedly knocked on the door and said she had just been in a wreck and her children were hurt -- the mother opened the door and stepped outside. That is when Thompson allegedly pulled a pocket knife, pointed it at her mother and threatened to kill her. The woman ran back inside and closed the door but then she heard glass break - Thompson allegedly broke a kitchen window before driving away.
Deputy Cain located Thompson and said she agreed to meet with him but then didn't show up. He was told later that she had left town to go to Martinsville about three hours after the scheduled appointment.
Charges were filed against Thompson Friday, Dec. 21 in Greene Superior Court.
