(UNDATED) - Applications are now available for the 2013 Indiana Electric Cooperative’s Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. High school juniors are eligible, with more than 75 selected from throughout the state.
Current Mitchell High School senior Allen Doane represented the Daviess-Martin County REMC on the 2012 trip.
This year's event kicks off June 12 with participants meeting in Indianapolis before flying out. They'll visit the Indiana Statehouse, the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville, Penn., and Gettysburg along the way to the nation's capital. In Washington, D.C., they'll visit many of the national memorials, landmarks and museums. They'll also be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship.
Applicants must be a resident family member of a Daviess-Martin County REMC member.
