Becky's Place Celebrates First Anniversary With Valentine Dinner

(BEDFORD) - Becky’s Place, a shelter for homeless women and children will celebrate its first anniversary with a Valentine dinner and dance on Feb. 22 in the St. Vincent Catholic Church Shamrock Center, on I Street.

Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Nostalgia Band is set to play. Cami Pritchett, executive director, will share some of the stories from the shelter and update donors and volunteers on shelter services, how the first year went and goals for the coming year.

The Shelter served 90 women and children in 2012 and three babies were born to women staying in the shelter.

Besides the dinner and dance, there will be a cash bar.

Tickets are $20 per person or $35 for a couple. A table of eight costs $140. Tickets available at: St. Vincent Church office, Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, Bedford Federal Savings Bank, or by calling 275-5773.
