(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Police Department is investigating the death of 25-year-old Lakin Williams, of Mitchell.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley officers received a 911 call at 12:12 a.m. Saturday reporting a woman was unresponsive in a vehicle parked in the 1800 block of 4th Street.
When police arrived, Williams was no breathing and officers performed CPR and used a defibulator on Williams to revive her.
An IU Health Hospital ambulance responded and Williams, who was breathing and had a faint pulse was taken to IU Bloomington Hospital, where Parsley says Williams died. Parsley say police are awaiting an autopsy report which will be performed in Monroe County. Parsley says no other information is available at this time because of the ongoing investigation.
