(BICKNELL) - The city of Bicknell is continuing to face cash flow issues.
Clerk-Treasurer Becky McGlone told members of the Bicknell City Council that after monthly claims are paid the city will have a little over $35,000 in the General Fund to operate on until they receive their June property tax settlement from the state.
McGlone says while there are other sources of revenue which the city can draw from, she would prefer to see department heads keep spending to a minimum.
Council President Butch Byrer says he would prefer not to borrow any funds until they have a plan in place on how to pay it back.
Besides borrowing the money from another account, McGlone says the city could request an early draw on their June tax settlement, but that would still leave officials scrambling for money to operate the city until the end of the year.
The City Council has called a special meeting for January 28th at which time they hope to hear recommendations from Mayor Jon Flickinger on how much money they need to borrow and how it will be paid back.
