(WASHINGTON) - Washington Firefighters battled a house fire at 706 Front Street at 9:40 p.m. Thursday night.
When firefighters arrived the home was engulfed in flames.
Beth Landreth, and a friend, Sheryl Tracy, were in the house when the fire started, but were able to escape. According to police Landreth suffered minor injuries, but refused medical attention.
Around 10:30 p.m. five off-duty firemen were called in to provide assistance.
The Washington Fire Department was on the scene until about midnight.
A complete report on the cause of the fire and the estimate of damage is pending the release of the official report from the Fire Department.
