(UNDATED) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning in effect from 7 p.m this evening through Sunday.
Portions of Indiana included in the watch are Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tipton and Vigo counties.
A wave of low pressure will lift northeast across central Indiana late tonight and interact with an unstable atmosphere and plenty of moisture and produce widespread rain - heavy at times.
One and a half inches of rain will occur over much or all of the area with local amounts to three inches possible.
This will cause flooding of lowlands and poor drainage areas, along with flooding of creeks and streams.
Motorists should be alert to flooded roadways especially near small streams and lowland areas.
