(JUDAH) - A Bedford man was arrested after he lost control of his vehicle Tuesday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, officers arrested 26-year-old Travis Dougherty for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Police say Dougherty was traveling south on Old Ind. 37 near Bennet Lane too fast, when he lost control of his 2005 Ford Focus.
The police report notes that Dougherty was coming out of the curve and began skidding out of control.
The car traveled about 154 feet off the east edge of the road and hit a mailbox and then continued another 207 feet and hit a tractor, owned by Ronald Kinser.
The impact was so hard that the tractor broke in half. The tractor then hit Kinser's house causing damage to the front door and blocks on the front of the home.
Dougherty's car then traveled another 12 feet and hit a parked 1998 Nissan Altima, owned by Kinser.
Dougherty's car then went another 58 feet and hit a gas meter, breaking it off and then hit a fence, taking down about 30 feet of fence.
Police say Doughtery complained of a headache, but refused treatment.
