(NEEDMORE) - Lawrence County Police are investigating a break-in At Gullett Creek Baptist Church.
The break-in was discovered Sunday morning around 9:47 a.m.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig the break-in occurred sometime between Wednesday night and Sunday morning.
Craig says the individuals entered the church through a window and money was taken from several areas in the church.
Craig says the offenders also damaged a door to gain entry to the office area and broke locks off of other items where money was located.
Police did discover prints in the snow leading to and from the building.
Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call the Lawrence County Police Department.
