(BLOOMFIELD) - Steve Dowden, John Combs and Dwayne Hostetter were sworn in to the Bloomfield School District Board of School Trustees at a reorganizational meeting last week.
Sabrina Westfall of the Greene County Daily World reports that the three were re-elected to the positions following uncontested races in the November general election.
Dowden is serving his second term in District 1 Richland Township and Combs and Hostetter are serving their second term in the District at-large positions.
Dowden was elected to serve as president of the school board, replacing Hostetter who has served as president for the last two years.
Hostetter was elected to serve as vice president of the board and Bill Bond will serve as the secretary.
The board voted to retain Todd Corn as the school district attorney for 2013. He has been serving as the corporation attorney for 23 years.
Sue Pritts was appointed as the school district treasurer for 2013. She has been serving as the treasurer for 25 years.
Stacey Robinette was appointed to serve as deputy treasurer for the school corporation.
The school board voted to maintain the meeting schedule on the fourth Thursday of the month with the exception of three meetings. The board will meet Monday, Feb. 25 due to the boys sectional schedule, Thursday, March 21 due to Spring Break and Thursday, Nov. 21 due to Thanksgiving. Sept. 26 will be the budget hearing for the school board and the budget adoption will be held Oct. 31.
The board voted to maintain an annual salary of $2,000 per board member per state statue
Matt Miller was appointed as the legislative liaison volunteer for the board and Eric Moody will serve as the policy liaison.
Bloomfield School District will be meeting in regular session Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.
