(HARRODSBURG) - Guardian Martial Arts Studio in Harrodsburg held it’s first promotion test on Saturday, January 5 where 10 students of Taekwondo advanced to the next color belt level in their training, after demonstrating proficiency in their technique and forms.
Eight students were promoted to yellow belt, and two students were promoted to orange belt.
Guardian opened in September 2012 and instruction is led by 5th Dan Black Belt Master, Gary Johnson.
Assisting Master Johnson are experienced and devoted black belt instructors who volunteer their time and talent to the students of Guardian.
Mr. Brad Pontius, global outreach minister at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington, provided the ceremonial invocation on test day.
A pitch in meal was held afterwards for students and their families.
