(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police are asking neighbors to be watchful.
Police are investigating a break-in to a home in the 6400 block of Leatherwood Road.
The owners returned home Monday afternoon to find someone had broke-in and taken a small amount of cash and other items.
Sheriff Sam Craig says the investigation is still on-going and anyone with information is asked to call police.
The department received another call of an attempted break-in to a home in the 100 block of South Acres Drive.
Craig says the owner came home and found damage to a screen and window, but entry was not gained.
Craig is asking residents who have any information to call police. He is also stressing people keep a watchful eye out for suspicious activity or vehicles in their neighborhoods and call police right away.
