(WASHINGTON) -The City of Washington Redevelopment Commission will be holding a special public meeting on Monday, January 28.
The meeting will be primarily an educational session about establishing Economic Development Areas and Tax Increment Financing Districts in relation to the area proposed for annexation and the I-69/U.S. 50 intersection.
Mayor Joe Wellman says that this can be a complicated topic.
The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 4:30 pm, January 28.
Special presenters will include Buddy Downs, an attorney with the firm of Ice Miller, and Gary Malone, CPA with Umbaugh and Associates. The two firms specialize in municipal issues and finances in around the State of Indiana.
