(NEEDMORE) - A Bedford woman was injured after she crashed her car when a deer was in the roadway just after midnight this morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Brittany Hall was traveling south on North Pike Road and had crested a hill to see a deer standing in the roadway.
Police say Hall hit her brakes causing her 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt to skid. The car went into a ditch, hit an earth embankment and brush and ended about 300 feet from the roadway in the woods.
Hall complained of back pain and was taken to IU Health Bedford Hospital for treatment.
