(BEDFORD) - After a day long investigation, a Bedford woman was arrested for dealing marijuana and other drug related charges.
Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen and Indiana State Troopers Shea Teague and Daniel Crozier went to an apartment in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue to speak with Janet James after they received a tip she was dealing marijuana out of her apartment.
After speaking with James, police requested a search warrant.
At 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night officers went back to the apartment and during the search found 304 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in the apartment. The apartment is within 100 feet of a daycare center.
Allen says officers also found items inside the apartment that led them to believe that James was dealing the drug.
James was arrested on charges of dealing and possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance, all Class D felonies. She was also charged with reckless possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
