(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Transit passengers were evacuated from buses Tuesday morning after the company received a bomb threat by telephone at about 10:30 a.m.
Bloomington Transit General Manager Lew May says the company immediately instructed all bus drivers to pull to the side of the road and evacuate passengers after the threat was made.
Bloomington Police Department was dispatched to the depot, 130 West Grimes Lane, to investigate the threat. Buses resumed their routes about half an hour after the threat was made, May says, but drivers were instructed to report anything suspicious.
The case is still under investigation.
