(MITCHELL) - Indiana State Police Detectives were called to a home in the 900 Block of West Main Street in Mitchell Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to the home at 3:02 p.m. after receiving a call that a woman was not breathing.
"We called in the state police to investigate," says Mitchell Police Chief Mike Hardman. "We don't think there is any foul play involved, but we will let them determine that."
Indiana State Police Sgt.Curt Durnil says detectives are still investigating and waiting on the results of an autopsy that was performed on Wednesday.
"While foul play is not suspected, an autopsy should help us make a determination," Durnil says.
Once the autopsy is completed police will make a statement, Durnil says.
This story will be updated when that information becomes available.
